Shipwreck s.s. Umtata
The s.s. Umtata was torpedoed by U 161 near Santa Lucia on March 9th, 1942 and stranded there. The ship was salvaged and temporarily repaired. On July 7th, 1942 the ship was taken to Port Everglades and torpedoed again, by U 571, this time near Miami. After this the ship sunk.
