Memorial at the Weimar Execution Site

This memorial plaque is in memory of the victims who died here in the period 1937 - 1945.

In these years, people sentenced to death by the courts of Weimar, Jena, Dessau, Erfurt, Halle, Nordhausen and Naumburg were beheaded at this location.

In the 7 years that the guillotine has been in use here, 197 registered beheadings have taken place.
