Monument Bihac 501st and 502nd Brigade

This monument was erected in commemoration of the 501st and 502nd brigades from Bihac. These were founded on July 19, 1992 with the aim of defending Bihac and the surrounding area against Serbian attacks.

The brigades consisted of young volunteers from the city of Bihac and refugees from surrounding occupied areas.

The brigades suffered 307 deaths, 1,763 injuries, and 69 missing during the civil war.

The brigades were disbanded in 1995.
