These steles at the old town hall of Angleur commemorate the soldiers coming from Angleur who fell in the 1st World War.
The steles include 3 executed men in addition to the fallen soldiers.
DEFECHEREUX Henri (24 years)
PAQUAY François (44 years)
They worked with the railroadcompany and were members of the resistance. They were arrested and executed in September/October 1915. They are both buried on the field of honor of the Robermont cemetery in Liège.
No further information is known about, De Munck Arnold, as to why he was arrested and executed.
They are also commemorated on the monument in the cemetery of Sarts. (This monument is not yet present on TOW.)
