German Bunker Avesnes-lès-Bapaume
This German bunker near Bapaume dates from the First World War. Bapaume was occupied by the Germans from Sept. 26, 1914 and taken by the Germans on March 17, 1917. On March 24, the town was retaken by the Germans only to be liberated again on September 3, 1918.
