Flagpole and Memorial 51st (Highland) Division

At the junction of Rue de la Montagne and Rue d' Auchonvillers stand a flagpole and monument commemorating the men of the 51st British Highland Division who fought in the Battle of the Ancre.

The restored flagpole and the new Plaque on the monument and were unveiled on November 13, 2006; this was exactly 90 years after the capture at the cost of 2,000 killed and wounded of Beaumont-Hamel by the Highland Division.
