Bloc III of the Battice fortress, unlike Bloc VII which is the same type of bunker, still contains its two original cast iron turrets with machine guns and searchlights.
Bloc III was a bunker that could defend the tank trench to the north and south. From the two turrets, the fort could defend itself against attackers coming from the east and still on the plateau in front of the fort. The bunker has two floors. On the first floor there was a machine gun on the north and south side. On the second floor, in addition to the two turrets, there were also two searchlights. These were placed inside the dome. One to the south and one to the north of the tank trench.
