There are two war graves at the Thibessart cemetery.
BIEUVELET François (62 years old) and his son Joseph (19 years old).
On August 20, 1914, three residents of Thibessart were arrested by the Germans, chosen at random. They were François Bieuvelet, a forester by profession, his son Joseph, a student, and Nicolas Leboeuf, the carpenter of the village. They were shot in a remote place in the field.
NOËL Arthur: deported, victim of the bombing of Essen on October 23, 1944. He was 23 years old.
