Belgian War Graves Ciney

The Ciney cemetery contains several war graves from both world wars.

Jules D'HEUR:Soldier 2nd class 1st Grenadiers 12th Company.
Killed during a patrol in Bornem. He was 24 years old.
He was first buried there and later reburied in Ciney in 1922.
He received the decoration of Knight in the Order of Leopold II and the War Cross.

Jean ROGER: captured civilian worker died in exile in Neheim-Hüsten.
Died on March 13, 1945 in the bombing of camp Neheim-Hüsten, (North Rhine-Westphalia), he was 22 years old. Exhumed on July 26, 1949 and reburied in the family grave in Ciney.

Emile MASSON:Soldier 3rd Ardennes Hunters 2nd Bat 6th Comp.
Killed in action on May 26, 1940 during contacts with German infantrymen defending the village of Vinkt. He was 26 years old.

René KEFERT: 2nd Light Regiment Gendarmerie.
Died in Humbeek on May 18, 1940, aged 25.
