Belgian War Graves Hulsonniaux

The Hulsonniaux cemetery contains the war grave of Georges ABSIL, pastor in Gendron.

He was a corporal-stretcher bearer in the 44th line 5th comp. 3rd Medical Corps.
Died during the last attempts to defend the Tielt-Aarsele line. What was left of the 2nd Battalion was stationed between Aarsele and the Deinze - Tielt railway line (to the east side). He was 30 years old.
Died for the Fatherland on May 26, 1940 in Aarsele, was also buried there. Only transferred to the cemetery of his native village Hulsonniaux in 2002.
