Vietnam ERA Memorial Bridge

This bridge commemorates that in the 60s and 70s America was divided into a camp for and against the war in Vietnam.
This bridge commemorates both points of view and there are 2 commemorative plaques:
On the east side is the following text:
The Vietnam Era Bridge looks eastward,
where Americans served their country in war,
where Colorado State's sons and daughters
served and fought and died.
As you cross, remember that they, like you,
reach out toward those who disagree.

On the west side the following text is mentioned:
The Vietnam Era Bridge looks westward,
where Americans protested against the war,
where Colorado State's students and faculty
raised their voices to stop the violence.
As you cross, remember that they, like you,
reach out toward those who disagree.
