Train Drivers Bunker Wijhe

Near the station square in Wijhe stands a so-called "engine driver bunker''. These prefabricated concrete bunkers were placed on the coal tenders of locomotives and the engine drivers and stokers could take shelter in them during shelling by Allied aircraft.
