In the church of Ste.Agatha there is a beautiful stained glass window on the left dedicated to the fallen of the First World War.
In the center is the image of a sitting lion next to the coat of arms of Belgium, above
"God – Fatherland" and below that "Unity is strength".
At the bottom in the middle the text:
"Tribute
Recognition
to our soldiers
died for the country"
In the 4 corners of the stained glass window are the names of the fallen:
Top left: "Edmond RENAULT – born in Vresse on 1-3-1889
Soldier 13th Line Regiment – died in the camp of Gottingen on 5-1-1919"
Top right: "Victor CLAUDOT – born in Laforêt on 1-5-1890
Soldier 9th Line Regiment - fell in Ougrée on 5-8-1914"
Bottom left: "Alexandre CHAIDRON – born in Laforêt on 9-11-1891
Soldier 13th Line Regiment - fell in Overbroecke (Hansbeecke) on 23-10-1918"
Bottom right: "Léon PIERSON – born in Laforêt on 9-12-1887
Sergeant-quartermaster 4th Hunters on Foot - died in Paris on 11-10-1918"
