The Notre-Dame de Grâces memorial chapel is located at the Tournay cemetery.
During the 1940-45 war, Abbé René Daix, parish priest, promised to build a chapel in honor of Our Lady, if the municipality of Tournay would be spared the barbarities of the war.
Under the mayorship of Narcisse Nelisse, it was agreed with the parish of Petitvoir and Verlaine that the chapel would be erected at the cemetery of Tournay.
On August 15, 1951, the bell was blessed in the presence of the villagers.
The names of the soldiers and prisoners who died during the two wars were engraved in gold letters.
Seventy years later, on August 15, 2021, during a commemoration, a didactic panel was unveiled to remember the historical circumstances and courage of the soldiers who died for the Fatherland during the two wars. Military and family archives have made it possible to get to know these patriotic soldiers and their careers better
The artistic part was provided by Valérie Dion.
