Peace Monument Overmere
A peace monument was unveiled at the entrance to the cemetery on May 6, 2023, to mark the end of the Second World War in Europe, exactly 78 years ago.
It was an initiative of the National Fighters' Union of Overmere.
Many countries commemorate this historic event on this V-Day.
It is a simple memorial, a marble slab with a white peace dove with a palm branch above the inscription "Peace Monument".
