Bunker SB 11 is located in the wood between the villages of Becco and Spixhe.
The bunker belongs to sector Sougné-Becco (SB) of the 1st line of defense for the city of Liège, la Posistion Fortifiée de Liège 1, (PFL 1).
The bunker is almost completely overgrown with ivy and thorn bushes and therefore so well camouflaged that it is almost untraceable. As a result, it is not clear whether the bunker is accessible. Even the entrance (photo 3) is completely overgrown with ivy and thorn bushes that only the shape of the bunker makes it recognizable that the entrance is located here. The walls of the bunker are 1.3 meters thick on all sides, of reinforced concrete. They could withstand shelling with 150mm shells. These bunkers were built in the early 1930's.These bunkers were built in the early 1930s.
A striking feature of this bunker is that it has no ventilation holes above the gun opening. It is likely that this bunker will also have been ventilated through the semi-open access doors. These were a steel or bardoor on the outside and a steel lamelladoor on the inside. see for example bunker SB 9.
Also, the original barbed wire fence (photo 5), is still present. Slightly bit crushed by fallen trees.
