Belgian War Graves Rendeux-Bas

The cemetery next to the Sainte-Marie church contains war graves from the two world wars.

VERDIN Louis: born in Rendeux
He was a sergeant with the 1st Hunters on Foot, 4th Battalion, 14th Comp.
Fallen on the field of honor in Kaaskerke on December 17, 1914.

SEURETTE Luc
Former student of the University of Liège, Faculty of Applied Sciences.
He was a former combatant of the 18-day campaign in 1940.
In November 1944 he was remobilized as a sub-lieutenant in the Deminers.
In May 1945 he was killed in command when a mine exploded in Kapellen.
He died on May 19, 1945 at the age of 24.

RINGLET Léon: born in Laforge on June 9, 1914.
He was a soldier with the 3rd Ardennes Hunters 2nd Bat 5th Comp
Fallen on the field of honor in Temploux on May 12, 1940, at the age of 26.
Killed at a rest cantonment on the way to take up a position on the Wavre - Gembloux - Namur line. The resting soldiers were spotted from the air by the German Luftwaffe and attacked en masse.
