Belgian War Graves Roy

Roy's cemetery contains a war grave from the First and Second World Wars.

REMY Henri died for his country in Calais on May 14, 1917.

MALEMPREE Georges: born in Flémalle-Haute on January 18, 1917.
He was arrested on December 24, 1944 and was one of the civilians shot in cold blood in Bande.
The village of Bande is known for the massacre that took place here on Christmas Eve 1944. That evening, 34 young people were arbitrarily arrested and cowardly murdered by the Germans without any trial in a dilapidated house along the N4.
