Belgian War Graves Vaux-sur-Sûre

The cemetery of Vaux-sur-Sûre contains three war graves from the Second World War.

Jean-Pierre LAMOLINE, born in Vaux-lez-Rosières on March 11, 1917.
He was a soldier of the 4th Ardennes Hunters 1st Bat 1st Comp.
He suffered severe pain on May 24 during the Belgian counter-attack at the Ponthoek (Olsene) to regain previously lost ground on the Leie. He died of his wounds in the field hospital in Tielt on May 25, 1940.

Paul,REMIENCE, born August 19, 1923 in Vaux-lez-Rosières.
In 1945 he was in the concentration camp in Dachau, where he died in May 1945 at the age of 21.

Albert SCHARTZ, born Vaux-lez-Rosières on July 17, 1917.
He was a soldier of the 1st Ardennes Hunters 3rd Bat 7th Comp.
He suffered greatly in the defense of the village of Vinkt and the Lotenhulle-Vinkt road. He was taken to a field ambulance but unfortunately suffered his injuries on the way to the hospital in Wingene on May 25, 1940.
