This monument (Monument aux Morts) commemorates the residents of Dax who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars and then in the wars in Indochina (1946-1954) and Algeria (1954-1962).
The column contains an image of a French soldier from World War I and a mother with a child on her arm symbolising France.
The monument bears the names of the victims and a text:
