Marshal Mannerheim’s Saloon Mikkeli

On June 4, 1942, Hitler visited Marshal Mannerheim in Finland and was received in this very luxurious train carriage to discuss the progress of the war. Tape recordings of the conversations were accidentally made on the train and it is the only known tape on which Hitler can be heard during a table conversation. It is subtitled and easy to follow. The train where the conversations took place is at Mikkeli station.

The dining car is located in Sastamala.
