Stumbling stone resistance fighter Alfons De Taevernier Turnhout

This small brass plaque (Stolpersteine or trip-stones) laid here on 12-5-2024 commemorates: Alfons De Taevernier.

De Taevenier was a member of the resistance movement the Belgian National Movement (BNB).
Arrested on Feb. 15, 1944, he was murdered in the Dachau concentration camp on Feb. 1, 1945.
