Memorials St.Thomas Monmouth

Various memorials have been placed in and around the St. Thomas the Martyr Church.

On the facade hangs a memorial plaque with the names and army ranks of those who died in the parish during the Second World War.
There is a memorial plaque in the church with the names of the victims of the parish who lost their lives in the First World War.

Finally, next to the church there is a calvary in honor of David Dudley, 34 years old, who died in the Battle of Aubers on May 9, 1915. No ground was gained in this battle against the Germans, but there were enormous casualties on the British side.
