Memorial Gerard Hubert Alain

The Jacquin de Margerie couple had a house in Morgat above the harbour. Later it became a hotel with the name Hôtel de la Montagne and was bombed in 1944.

Between 1914 and 1918 three off their sons went to the first world war and all three survived and came back.
One of them Alain is the grandfather off Christophe de Margerie, the general manager off total.


The memorial has the title:
Merci mon Dieu d'avoir protégé nos trois fils

Thank you God for protecting our three sons
