Monument Alfred Colsman

This monument was erected for Alfred Colsman, born in Werdohl. On April 14, 1945, through personal action, he ensured the peaceful surrender of the city to American troops. After the surrender, Alfred Colsman was installed as Mayor.

Alfred Colsman was director of Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH (LZ) from 1908 to 1929.
