El Muleton was a fortified complex, a fortress with trenches, shelters and a cement cistern to supply water to the military settlement in this area.
Some historical remains have been preserved, such as the trail of howitzer explosions and aerial bombs that fell in January 1938.
At the rear, opposite the ravine of Gilochas, the remains of a post of command and the cistern are preserved.
El Muleton was the scene of major confrontations between both sides during the Spanish Civil War, the Battle of Teruel took place there.
