Val-9.2 Mansueto Valdecebro

Mansueto is a promontory that protected the access to Teruel from the southeast and dominated the city of Valdecebro, and the Caparrates area. Their defensive positions were closest to the city.

Several isolated defensive positions guarded key points in the Republican countryside. These positions were usually trenches fortified with sandbags or stone parapets, in addition to the usual barracks for the troops.

Exceptionally, the defenders of Teruel had built a small fortress before Valdecebro with thick concrete and brick walls, covered with a concrete slab supported by railway tracks.
With the later access via a ditch, the structure fell into disrepair. Part of the walls have been preserved, some loopholes for the shooters can still be seen, as well as some fragments of the roof.
