Grave Guards Major I.L. Khaytovych

This remarkable grave contains the remains of Guards Major I.L. Khaytovych, who was killed on 15 September 1943 in a German bombardment on the road towards his headquarters. He commanded the 215th Tank Regiment of the 26th Mechanized Brigade, 7th Guards Corps. A Soviet T-70 light tank is standing on top of his grave.
