Private Collection "Home Front"

On the outside, nothing suggests what you will see inside: a beautiful private museum with original items about daily life in England during WWII, which the owner, Englishman Chris Taylor, a long-time Cheissoux resident, set up on his property about seven years ago.

The museum can only be found digitally via an entry on the Tourism du Limousin website and gets only a small number of visitors a year. A visit is only possible by telephone appointment with the owner.

Although he himself was never in the military - "I never made it further than the cadet school of the RAF" - but is the son of an engineer in the RAF, he passionately guides his visitors around in English or French.

For current visiting hours, please contact the museum.
