Memorial Gymnasium Augsburg

The gymnasium at St. Anna was founded in 1531 as a Protestant school and is one of the oldest secondary schools in Germany. In 1807 the school was merged with the dissolved Jesuit college of St. Salvator.

There is a memorial plaque at the entrance to the school:
"We commemorate the students and
all teachers who because of their
Jewish origin or religion became.
excluded of ours
school community,
persecuted, expelled or murdered
by the National Socialist tyranny.

The high school at St. Anna and the graduates of 2023"
