Pillbox Langel Common Witney

This concrete bunker was built as a prefab around 1940-1941 by a civilian company, Norcon, which actually specialised in making concrete tubes. These small bunkers with a diameter of about 180 cm and surrounding loopholes were placed in numerous places in Britain to defend against an impending German invasion that was accutely imminent at the time. Another similar bunker is located about 400 metres to the west.
