Torpedo Magoulades

The torpedo placed in the village of Magoulades is a monument to the victims of the sunk Greek submarine "Proteus" on December 29, 1940.

On this date the "Proteus" attacked an Italian convoy en route to Greece. This led to the discovery of the submarine, which allowed Italian ships to sink it. 48 Greek men were killed.
