Stumbling Stones former Weesperstraat 36

'A HUMAN BEING IS FORGOTTEN ONLY WHEN THE NAME IS FORGOTTEN'
(Talmud)

Here in Amsterdam two Stumbling Stones were laid in front of the Monument of Jewish Names for:

CORNELIS MARINUS VAN SCHAIK, murdered on May 21, 1943 in Sobibor.
JOHANNES MATHEUS VAN SCHAIK, murdered on May 21, 1943 in Sobibor.

These Stumbling Stones are here for Jewish war victims, deported and murdered in the Second World War.
