Victory Museum

The Victory Museum, formerly known as Museum for the Canadian Allied Forces 1940-1945, provides a general overview next to an accurate picture of what has been happening during the years of the Second World War.

The privately owned museum, which is managed by the aforementioned foundation has set its purpose to keep the memories of this important historical period alive and to save its unique and still expanding collection for the following generation.

You imagine to be back in time; dioramas provide a realistic, correct in every detail, picture of the events as these have happened in those days. The museum has been dedicated therefore to those that have fought for a free nation.

The way you will be introduced to the exposition is as unique as its collection. There is always an expert available to provide you with a guided tour and to answer all your questions.

This museum provides a nice impression of the city of Groningen and the similarly named province during the Second World War. You will be able to view closely many vehicles and uniforms that have been used during the war and liberation of Groningen.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
