Casemate Peel-Raamstelling S (3a) 410

This casemate was built in the period 1939-1940 and is located a hundred meters north of the place where the Defense Canal crosses the Deurneseweg. The Deurneseweg connects Oploo, the Rips and Deurne, among others. The casemate could deliver flanking fire on the Deurneseweg via the right loophole and deliver frontal fire via the middle loophole on the unpaved agricultural road running parallel to the Deurneseweg. The casemate is in good condition and has no war damage.
