Memorial Bornhofen

In Kamp-Bornhofen there is a Franciscan monastery with a pilgrimage church located on the Rhine. It is located about 20 km south of Koblenz and is one of the oldest and most important pilgrimage sites in the Middle Rhine.

In the Chapel of Mercy there is a late Gothic Pietŕ. There is also a memorial plaque to thank her for her protection during the Second World War.

"Our dear wife
and patroness.
Many thanks to the Mother of Sorrows
van Bornhofen for her great protection
during the dangerous ones
war months
1944-1945.

The neighbors of Bornhofen
