War Memorial Newcastle

This War memorial was first built in 1954. It has emblems of the Royal Australian Air Force, Australian Women's Services, Royal Australian Navy and Australian Commonwealth Military Forces. In front of the memorial is an eternal flame.

This memorial is dedicated to honour
the men and women of Newcastle
and District who, in service with the
Armed and Auxiliary Forces of the
Commonwealth gave their lives
to bequeath to others a heritage of
freedom and security. greater love
