Memorial Corporal John French V.C.

Here are two bronze plaques which were two of many authorised in 1945 by General Thomas Blamey to be placed at sites throughout Papua New Guinea. Some have been moved to more central locations to enable them to be more easily maintained. Gorani creek and Koebule (KB) Mission are a short distance from this site. The two information boards are from the Battle of Milne Bay Memorial in Alotau.
