Warrior's Chapel Canterbury Cathedral

In Canterbury Cathedral there is a small chapel in the center of the side, the so-called "Warrior's Chapel".

This chapel, also known as the St. Michael's or Buff Chapel, or the Holland Chapel. A broader background, but in particular the Royal East Kent Regiment, also known as the Buffs, are strongly connected and named. The original Norman chapel was rebuilt in 1439 to provide a suitable resting place for Lady Margaret Holland and her husbands (more below). The chapel is unfortunately closed by a wrought iron entrance gate with the inscription "The Buffs" in gold letters, but the chapel can be easily admired from outside the gate.
