This cemetery contains the remains of 1362 French servicemen killed during the various battles that took place here on the Somme during World War I. There are 1,042 individual graves and 322 bodies are interred in two ossuaries. The identity of 588 soldiers is unknown. The cemetery was used from 1920 to 1936 and includes bodies first interred in local cemeteries in Biaches and Curlu.
