Memorial Executed Civilians First World War

The Francorchamps cemetery contains a memorial stone to the civilians executed on August 8th, 1914, during World War I

Marters of the war.

Some of the graves of the civilians killed that day are still in the cemetery.

DEPOUHON Casimir, 8 years old ! His headstone reads 'fusillé par les Allemands le 8-8-1914'. (photo 2).

TRICOT Isidore, age 40, his stone reads 'Assasine a Francorchamps par les barbares Teutons le 8-8-1914' (photo 4).

TRICOT Alfred, age unknown, he is buried in the Francorchamps cemetery.

ZIANT Ernest, age 38, his tombstone reads 'fus par les Allem le 8-8-1914' (photo 3).

They are also remembered on the war memorial at Francorchamps.
