War Memorial First World War Lambermont

The Lambermont cemetery contains the monument in memory of the fallen soldiers coming from Lambermont during the 1st World War.

It is a "beautifully" executed monument signifying suffering and dying in the Great War. Horatio said; "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori".

The monument states the names of;

VALANSON Marcel, age 22, soldier, died due to illness at Aninkerker (West Flanders) on November 30th, 1917

VALANSON Maurice, age 21, soldier, killed in action at Rumbeke (West Flanders) on October 4th, 1918

CROCHE Gaston, age 26, private of the 6th Line Regiment, killed in action at Zuidschote on June 24th, 1916.

The monument is located among the graves of Lambermont's veterans.
