In the all-wood Gustaf-Adolf Staaf church, two wooden panels have the names carved out of the of Hahnenklee residents who fell during both world wars.
Above the names is written:
‘Die Heldentot Starben Fürs Faterland’.
1914-1918 and 1939-1945.
Swastika symbols appear in the windows of the church but they date from earlier than the Nazi period.
