Stumbling Block Vanenburgerallee 13

In front of the entrance to Kasteel De Vanenburg, a stumbling block was placed on 27 January 2023 in memory of the 125 Jewish men who were interned here for forced labour in labour camp De Vanenburg between April 1942 and 2 October 1942.

From here they were transferred to Westerbork on 2 October 1942 and from there deported to death camps in Eastern Europe.

Only one man survived.
