Belgian War Graves Philippeville

The Philippeville cemetery contains one war grave from the First and two from the Second World War.

GILLIARD Paul, born in Philippeville in 1894, died for his country in Montpellier in 1916. This corporal was hospitalized in Montpellier where he died of pneumonia after tuberculosis. He was buried there in the Saint Lazare cemetery, in 1923 he was reburied in Philippeville.

SCIEUR Paul, lieutenant in the engineer, died in Nivelles on August 27, 1940 after carrying out a dangerous assignment.

PINGAUT Albert was a sergeant with the 3rd Hunters on Foot 3rd Bat 10th Comp. On June 3, 1940 he died in the hospital in Veurne from previous injuries
