Memorial Suarlée

There are two memorial plaques on the facade of the Saint-Materne de Suarlée church.
On the left the deportees of November 29, 1916 are commemorated. During that period, unemployed workers in occupied Belgium were deported to Germany by the German occupier.
Right: honor and glory to the brave soldiers of the First World War
