Belgian War Graves Gimnée

The municipal cemetery of Gimnée contains four war graves from both world wars.

Adrien LAMBION, volunteer, soldier 2nd Hunters on Horseback 4th Squadron.
He drowned on April 6, 1915 while on his way to an outpost near Fort Knokke in Leisele-Merkem. He was buried in Leisele and only reburied in 1921 in his native village of Gimnée. He was 19 years old.

Marcellin MASSART, 1st Sergeant Major 18th Line.
Fallen on the field of honor in Boezinge on April 7, 1918, he was 23 years old.

François GENITELLI, Sergeant 21st Engineer, died for his country in 1942.

Maria THIRIFAY innocent civilian victim of the Second World War, 21 years old.
