Memorial Stones Utrechtseweg 141

Here in Zeist, three memorial stones were laid in front of the entrance to the police station on January 22, 2020.

The texts on the memorial stones are:

'Piet van den Top

commander LO/LKP Zeist
responsible for the
liberation action of
10 Jews from the police station'

'Rudi Karl Beeskow
31-01-1921 Stettin (Germany)
died 12-04-2004
one of the executors
of the liberation action'

'On 23 January 1945, the
following 10 Jewish compatriots
were liberated from the police station:
Harry Bril, the Gomperts couple
Mrs. Hermans
David and Judith Heijmans
Ernst Stein and Mrs. Sturhoofd
and her two children
Jaap and Max.'
