This casemate was built in the period 1939-1940. The casemate stands next to a wooden bridge, on the north side of the local access road, and could deliver frontal fire on this road through the middle loophole. The casemate is in good condition and has no war damage. Casemate 349 (type G-180lv) stood near casemate 348 and could also deliver frontal fire on this road. Casemate 349 was blown up during the Second World War.
