Memorials Saint Elisabeth Church

Attached to the church of Sainte Élisabeth in Bruyères is a memorial for the soldiers who died in both World Wars from the village of Bruyères.

Commemorated are the fallen from the 1st World War

STROUVEN Nicolas, age 19, private of the 14th lineregiment, executed for unknown reasons by the German army on August 6th, 1914, on the 3rd day of the invasion of Belgium.

SCHMETZ Corneille, age 23, soldier with the 7th lineregiment, killed in action on May 17th, 1916, no further details known.

JULEMONT Henri, age 19 !, warvolunteer, sergeant with the 12th lineregiment, killed in action on the battlefield on July 16th, 1916.
